Find Strength & Weekness
To perform well on your favorite course or achieve strong results in a competition, it's essential to analyze both the course and your strengths and weaknesses as a rider. This analysis enables you to strategize effectively and tailor your training to target specific areas of improvement.
Utilizing Abilities and Preferences
By utilizing the abilities and preferences on the Riduck dashboard, you can quickly identify your strengths and weaknesses without the need for complex charts or calculations. Depending on your goals, you can then focus on maximizing your strengths or improving your weaknesses through tailored training.
Using the Power Profile
The power profile chart in Riduck lets you view both your maximum power (peak power) and "expected power" at the same time, unlike traditional power profile charts (power curves).
Training to reduce the gap between expected power and peak power in specific segments can enhance your strengths while effectively increasing your FTP.
On the other hand, focusing on segments with a significant difference between expected power and peak power can help raise your expected power to match peak power, addressing any weaknesses.
For example,
A rider whose 1-second or 5-second power closely matches their expected power but whose 10-minute or 20-minute power is slightly lower can enhance their performance in those power zones through targeted training. This will help increase their overall efficiency.
Similarly, a sprinter focusing on their sprinting role in a competition can boost their power output for up to a minute with dedicated training, improving their ability to execute race strategies more effectively.
